About the Job:
MOBILE PHLEBOTOMISTS/MEDICAL ASSISTANTS - PER DIEM INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS TO COMPLETE INSURANCE PARAMED EXAM SERVICES AND PATIENT SPECIALTY BLOOD DRAWS.
COVERAGE: WILKES-BARRE AND SCRANTON, PA - LUZERNE AND LACKAWANNA COUNTY AND OTHER NEARBY AREAS.
PAY RANGE: $25 - $50 PER EXAM SERVICE - MILEAGE OVER 40 PER SINGLE TRIP IS AT .72/MILE BONUSES ARE PAID FOR TRIPS OUTSIDE OF NORMAL COVERED TERRITTORY.
JOB DETAILS:
- Must be willing to travel to the client or patient location for appointments. 20-mile radius from your home.
- Availability needed is for weekdays, 2-3 mornings and some afternoon or early evenings, and 1-2 Saturday mornings per month, other availability to schedule clients would be a plus. Looking to recruit several examiners for the area.
- Paid on a fee per case basis twice a month.
- Accurately labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, documenting health histories, manual vital signs, and obtaining EKGs when needed (will train with our equipment).
- Call clients, schedule them, centrifuge SST, scan paperwork when finished & complete out in the portal, FedEx out all specimens or drop off at a nearby Quest Patient Service Center.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Current phlebotomy experience of 2 years, skilled in hand stick as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional, responsible, and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation, current Driver's License & Auto insurance.
- Must have a computer with internet access and a printer to print orders and documents.
- YOU MUST SUPPLY YOUR OWN: BP cuffs (reg. & large). Stethoscope, scale that goes to 360 lbs., metal tape measure. Blood and urine kits will be provided to you along with a centrifuge and EKG machine. Security deposit is required for equipment and blood kits and drawing supplies.
