About the Position:
- Phlebotomists or Medical Assistants for Mobile Insurance Exams and Specialty Blood Draws Paid on a fee per case basis. Most services involve drawing blood and filling out lab slips or test requisition forms.
- $25-$50.00/services for Bangor area, Mt. Bethel, Wind Gap, Nazareth, other towns in northern Northampton County, southern areas in Monroe County like Stroudsburg, and other nearby towns.
- Assignments are given within a 20 mile radius from your home address. Must reside in the territory advertised for. Bilingual in Spanish a plus, but not required.
Exam One World Wide & DKN Paramedical Services, an affiliate office located in Allentown, PA, are seeking independent and highly organized MOBILE - PHLEBOTOMISTS OR MEDICAL ASSISTANTS to join our team as “Independent Contractors”. (ExamOne is a subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics) Compensation is between $25.00-$50.00 for completed services.
Must have availability to schedule appts. a minimum of 2-3 weekdays from 9am to 1 pm and one Saturday morning a month. Any additional availability for mornings, afternoons, early evenings and additional Saturdays would be a plus. "This is NOT a full-time position". As an Independent Contractor you set up your schedule and will receive cases that are in your area of coverage. Seeking professional, self-motivated, reliable, and well organized examiners to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and centrifuge blood samples for insurance clients and specialty blood draws for patients in clinical trials and others who are on certain medications or having DNA or genetic testing done.
- Specimens are shipped out by Federal Express from your residence or dropped off at an authorized Federal Express Store.
- Call assigned clients to schedule appointments. View ExamOne portal on a daily basis. Communicate with office staff on any cases or issues you encounter. Keep all orders up to date with status. Confirm scheduled appts.
- Additional work if desired - Obtain Biometrics and health histories. Staff Wellness Events with other examiners if available when events are scheduled by Quest. (Wellness Events ONLY are paid per hour at $25.00).
- Monitor storage and inventory of supplies.
- Maintain a clean and healthy work environment while in the client’s home or business location.
Qualifications and requirements:
- 2 years of recent work experience in Phlebotomy is preferred. Must be skilled to perform back of hand draws when needed. Collect urine specimens and saliva specimens when required.
- Experience in Medical terminology is required for recording health histories.
- Ability to take accurate manual physical measurements.
- EKG experience is a plus. Will train new contractors if needed.
- Must have BP equipment, adult cuff and extra cuff are needed, accurate scale, tape measure, computer with internet access, and printer with scanning capabilities. Height and weight are physically measured on all clients/patients.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within a 20-mile radius of your home. Bonus mileage is paid for single trip cases over 40 miles round trip at .70/mile which are outside of your normal territory if you accept.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
ExamOne provides new examiner orientations, portal training, a centrifuge, sharps container, EKG machine, blood, urine, & saliva kits. Security deposit of $75.00 is required for equipment and supplies/kits Call office for additional information regarding the position. 610-740-0202
